Jingle Cross/UCI World Cup Cyclo-Cross Festival

The 3-day Jingle Cross Cyclo-Cross Festival October 15-17, 2021 in Iowa City is the largest cyclo-cross event in North America. Our marquis event is the Telenet UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup, a leg in the global cyclo-cross series featuring the world’s best cross athletes. Cyclo-cross is a thrilling, spectator-friendly bike race on many types of terrain including big climbs, steep descents, grass, mud, sand, dirt and even snow in winter months. Courses are 2.5-3.5 km per lap, no two courses are the same, and weather can play a major factor. It’s a bike race, steeplechase, and NASCAR all rolled into one.

Friday Night Frights and Lights
The Jingle Cross Christmas theme collides with Halloween as Friday Night Lights changes to Fright Night Frights, the biggest nighttime cyclocross party in the world with a Halloween flair! Watch the UCI C1 race and party to the fantastic selection of tunes from DJ Jay Herman spinning atop Mt. Krumpit. In addition to beer and wine, we have plenty of food in Whoville, so come out and enjoy a great night of fun, music and great cyclo-cross racing. Learn more here.

Grinch’s Kids Race
The Grinch will descend from atop Mt. Krumpit and take on the littlest Whos in the coolest race of the weekend, the Grinch’s Kids Race sponsored by Integrated DNA Technologies. The Kid’s Race takes place on Sunday, October 17, just before the World Cup. We have three races for kids ages 18 months to 3 years, 3-5 years, and 5-9 years taking on the Grinch in a race to the finish! But beware, the Grinch hates to lose and has been known to cheat. The Grinch’s Kids Race is free, BUT we are limited to 100 kids for safety reasons. You MUST pre-register to participate and this event fills up FAST! Doggy Cross

We are excited to bring you one of the furriest events to this year’s Jingle Cross, the Doggy Cross. Bring your four-legged friend to have fun in this free event with the chance to the coveted Golden Dog Bowl Gift Pack for your pet. Three laps around this hilarious Cyclo-dog course with special obstacles. You do the tricks and obstacles while your dog runs along side and makes sure you do them right.
