Meet Stacey.

Stacey has been in love with biking since childhood, and that early spark kickstarted a lifelong obsession. She’s dabbled in a little bit of everything — triathlons, mountain biking, Xterras, cyclocross, gravel — if it has two wheels, she’s probably tried it.

Her passion for cycling also spills into her work as an artist, where she draws inspiration from time spent riding and exploring the varied terrain of local trails, with mountain biking being her primary focus. Stacey loves being outdoors and hopes to inspire others to get outside, try new trails, and experience the pure joy that biking brings.

Favorite place to ride in Bike Iowa City

Sugar Bottom Road on my road bike or out toward Oxford on the gravel is hard to beat. And when I’m on the mountain bike, Creekside and Sugar Bottom trails never disappoint.

Favorite cycling event in Bike Iowa City

The Sugar Bottom Scramble—mostly because Sugar Bottom is hands down my favorite place to ride. If there’s an event there, chances are I’m signed up (or at least thinking about it).

You're ready for some grub after a ride. Where will we find you?

Red’s Alehouse is the move. The perfect landing spot for us Coralville folks.

Bike organizations you're involved with

Repping the Goosetown Racing jersey has been such a blast! I’ve been part of the team for three years now, and everyone is incredibly welcoming and fun. We’re also involved with Corridor Devo and the Iowa City Mountain Youth Club, which means I get to share my love of biking with my kids. Our community really shows up for youth cycling, and that’s pretty special.
