Meet Nile.

Nile’s relationship with biking has grown alongside Iowa City’s trail system. What began as a fun way to get around town on his childhood paper route has evolved into a love for paved trail and road riding — a way to clear his head, stay active, and enjoy moving through the community on two wheels.

For Nile, that passion is deeply personal. He rides for his son Gabe, a disabled Marine Corps Veteran who joins him on a trike. Nile launched the Cycling with Gabe group ride to give his son — and other Veterans, their friends, and families — a welcoming way to experience the joy of biking and discover its powerful physical and mental health benefits.
