Meet Lily.

As an Iowa City transplant, Lily decided that she was going to throw herself into any opportunity that presented itself. “When I moved to Iowa City in 2021, I missed having an active community.” She quickly found that, and much more, through initiatives such as the Iowa City Bike Library’s Stay Cozy Winter Cycling program and weekly rides with the Gravel Scouts.

“Once I found the Gravel Scouts group, I was hooked. The gravel community here is so inclusive to riders of every level.”

Another thing she loves about Bike Iowa City? The fact that we have community groups for every skill level and type of biking. “We have groups such as the Iowa City Bike Library, Sugar Bottom Bikes Group Rides, the Gravel Scouts, and Bike to Work Breakfasts that really encourage outdoor activity and general health, and camaraderie with other community members.”
