Meet Aaron.

While Aaron has cycled on and off throughout his life, he got serious about the sport at age 44 when his body decided it was time to retire from pickup basketball and pivot to biking. He quickly found a new competitive outlet through Strava segments and gravel racing, and never looked back.

A proud self-proclaimed “Clydesdale” rider, Aaron is proof that cyclists of all sizes can keep up with the fast groups — and have a blast doing it. He serves on the Linn County Trails Association and is a regular at the Sugar Bottom Bikes Wednesday Night Gravel rides. Aaron loves the punchy climbs of Sugar Bottom Road and is a passionate advocate for growing and connecting the region’s trail network.
